B Wants: Homemade summer treats
It seems like Spring was just starting but I can't seem to get Summer out of my head. With so many great ice cream recipes presenting themselves on my Pinterest I can't help but lust after an ice cream maker. I still remember the noise of my mother's grinding in the backyard spending hours to make the most perfect vanilla. I kept checking and peeking waiting for it was my time to taste. Times and technology have changed but the homemade ice cream comfort is still the same. I can be just like Meryl Streep in It's Complicated and make lavender ice cream when I can't sleep.

I bought one a few years ago! It's just a Cuisinart, nothing super fancy, but it makes amazing ice cream! I think I paid like $50 for it at Bed, Bath & Beyond with a 20% off coupon! Well worth it, and not overly expensive. (And more recently I bought a waffle cone maker, so I'm planning to put both to use ASAP!)
